Microsoft is seeking a Lead Editor to help establish and grow the voice and vision for Xbox LIVE programming. Building on the success of and excitement of Xbox 360, our group is reshaping the way people engage with content on Xbox LIVE. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of this ultra creative, fast-moving team and on the cutting edge of digital technology and entertainment.

As our LIVE Lead Editor, you'll play a key role in local editorial and design management, coordinating all forms of local content activity, tactical and strategic, to ensure timely publication of the highest quality content on Xbox LIVE that is relevant and engaging for the millions of Xbox LIVE members. You'll work closely with the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, Marketing and PR teams, local community sources, Design and the Xbox LIVE Programming team to develop vibrant and engaging programming on Xbox LIVE. In addition, you'll assume a leadership role for developing strategic planning for scalable content throughout Xbox LIVE. A key element of the role will be to develop scalable programming across Xbox LIVE, plan day-to-day programming that meets all business needs, and execute the delivery of compelling and visually appealing content to the end user through Xbox LIVE.

Responsibilities include: Editorial management of Xbox LIVE content; process and workflow management; business and relationship management; managing and motivating vendor contributors; developing strategic objectives; identifying and negotiating with internal content providers; and meeting Xbox LIVE business objectives.

Qualifications: Strong editorial, design and multi-media experience; excellent communication, forecasting and metrics-reporting skills; strategic planning and excellent content management experience; strong proficiency with online publishing systems; design experience preferred. Degree in journalism, communications or related discipline preferred.
