The Xbox division is continuously looking for the next great end-to-end experiences that will (re)define gaming and on-demand entertainment in the future. Would you like to be part of the team that is actively looking for those experiences? The Xbox Incubation team is looking for a seasoned Game Designer that will help us find that experience.

In addition to strong game design skill, this person will need to enjoy being part of a fast moving, high-technology, cross-discipline creative and artistic team. The successful candidate will dream up original game concepts and mechanics across a wide variety of genres including yet undiscovered ones. They will thrive in creating / tuning game prototypes while working cross-discipline to deliver entertaining and engaging game prototypes.

Essential functions:
- Real passion for users' experience and appreciation for a wide variety of gaming audiences
- Have great ideas for new interactive entertainment experiences
- Excellent creativity and demonstrated ability to generate innovative game concepts, mechanics, and ideas
- Excellent creative writer and storyteller
Desired Qualifications:
- Have shipped 2 or more games
- Demonstrable success in creating compelling (fun, commercially viable, and critically acclaimed) game-play
- Demonstrable knowledge of video game design processes and modern game design theory
- Extensive knowledge of game mechanics, progression and presentation, and how individual design choices can affect the overall feel of the game

Pluses:
- Background in use of game editors, scripting/programming and/or 3D tools
- Have video/television production experience

Education:
- A BS in related field, or equivalent experience
